Happy back to school season! Our team has loved #volunteering with the Johnston Partnership for a Healthy Community to make back to school a joyful time for kids and families in our community. Our CSB Changemakers had the opportunity to assemble backpacks with school supplies and welcome families to the Partnership's Back to School Health and Resource Clinic, in conjunction with Johnston Community School District. They even created inspirational messages to go inside sack lunches as part of the Johnston Partnership's sack lunch program. Exciting news!! We are thrilled to share that last week Community State Bank (CSB) officially broke ground on our new #headquarters. Our leadership team and staff were joined by our project partners, and community leaders for a groundbreaking ceremony held at the headquarters’ future site located at 2750 NE 36th Street in Ankeny. CEO Kurt Gibson of CSB shared: “Our mission is to connect, serve, and build our communities and our new headquarters is a commitment to that. Yesterday our awesome employees put our mission into action: to Connect, Serve, and BUILD our communities! Our CSB team was fortunate to spend the day with the incredible Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity, building 36 wall panels that will become a family’s future home. The build took place at our E. 33rd branch in Des Moines. This was our fourth year partnering with Habitat, and it’s easily become one of our employees’ favorite and most anticipated volunteer opportunities. Knowing that these wall panels will help form a home that will be move-in ready by Christmas is just incredible.
