    THE TOP SAFETY BREACH's I see everyday from ISO certified companies: 😳 1     ONLY ONE WORKER WHEN WORKING AT HEIGHTS It is regulation when working at heights to have two fully trained and qualified workers on site and a rescue plan in place. Both workers need to have the skills and qualifications to activate the rescue plan if necessary. Action Step: When deciding on a contractor check they are fully trained and certified for the task. Ask for their certifications, SWMS/JSA and rescue plan.     Before working at heights, it is crucial to consider key parameters to ensure safety: - Conduct a thorough Risk Assessment to identify and evaluate potential hazards and risks. - Prioritize Training and Competence to guarantee that all personnel are adequately skilled to work at heights. - Regularly inspect Equipment, including personal protective equipment, ladders, and scaffolding, to ensure they meet safety standards. - Evaluate Environmental Conditions like weather and surroundings that could impact safety. When working at heights, remember to: - Always wear and use the necessary PPE, such as harnesses and helmets. - Follow Safe Work Practices, including maintaining three points of contact and securing tools. - Maintain open Communication and Supervision with team members and supervisors. - Be prepared for emergencies by knowing rescue procedures and the location of first aid kits and emergency exits. #WorkplaceSafety #HeightSafety #SafetyProcedures

    This happens a lot at work sites, either due to workers’ ignorance, or their disregard for the importance of occupational safety، believing that nothing bad will ever happen and that safety is just a burnt piece of paper that is useless. In this video we find several violations that were committed: - NO ON IS IN PPE,s - POOR HSE CULTURE - INADEQUATE TRAINING - POOR SUPERVISION OF HIGH RISK ACTION - NO SAFE LIFITING PLAN - NO GUIDE ROPE USED - NO CAVE IN PROTECTION PROVIDED AS PER SOIL TYPE ( SEEMS TO BE “TYPE B SOIL”) - MOVING HEAVY MACHINERY ON EXCAVATION WAL - EXCAVATED SOIL PILED UP ON EXCAVATION WALLS/ EDGES - NO SAFE MEAN OF ENTRY/ EXIT FROM THE EXCAVATION - COMPLETE FAILURE OF HSMS - PEOPLE STANDING ON THE EDGE In conclusion Who authorized the excavation permit for this job? Why were people and heavy duty equipment close to the excavated area? Why were people in and around the excavated area? So many wrongs. Accidents don't just happen, they are caused!
