🌟There’s no doubt about what the basis of DE&I should be: communication. 🌟 At Dentsply Sirona, we work with the concept of a Conversation of Understanding (COU), a structured, proactive approach to fostering dialogue and empathy within our workplace community. As part of our ongoing DE&I Month celebration, we hosted a company-wide COU on the topic of ‘Psychological Safety in the workplace’. But what exactly is psychological safety in the workplace? 💡 It's about feeling empowered to take risks, share ideas and concerns, be curious, and admit mistakes without fear of repercussions. It's the bedrock of a healthy, thriving work environment. 🎙️Our three conversation champions Kim Mongiello, Bruce Peatey, and Lisia Malcolm drove the conversation by sharing their personal stories and experiences. Their insights illuminated why psychological safety is not just important, but essential at Dentsply Sirona. By nurturing a culture of openness and trust, we empower our teams to excel, innovate, and bring their authentic selves to work. We firmly believe that by embracing diversity and fostering psychological safety, we unlock the full potential of our workforce. In essence creating an environment that allows us all to show up to work as our authentic selves, leveraging our superpowers – our key strengths! #proudtobeDS #diversity #psychologicalsafety #ERG

We’re all familiar with the hard 🔨 and soft 🐰 costs associated with poor employee selection decisions. However, hiring the wrong person is PAINFUL 😖 ; Painful for the person who has to manage them, for their teammates, for the individual who was hired and is now failing, and for HR who finds themselves back at square one. Poor selection decisions happen because the decision criteria at our disposal are limited, often subjective, and unreliable. Join us for HRACO Human Resources Association of Central Ohio's November monthly luncheon, where we'll learn how to infuse additional, objective data points into the selection process in order to increase the odds of making the best hire every time. Learning Objectives: ✴ Learn the relative predictive validity of key employee selection methods. ✴ Discover a process for identifying what candidate attributes matter most, and will have the biggest impact on key organizational outcomes. ✴ Explore different types of assessment instruments, and the strengths, limitations and appropriate uses of each. ✴ Investigate various methods for measuring and quantifying the impact of your selection strategy.
