Unconventional Career Advice: Mastering the Art of “Hot Orders” In the world of recruiting, one piece of advice I swear by is the strategic selection of your “hot orders.” It’s not just about choosing positions that seem easy to fill or those tied to long-standing clients. The real magic lies in daily evaluation and prioritization based on dynamic criteria. For instance, while many companies might prioritize roles based on potential gross margin, this approach doesn’t always hit the mark. You could have a high-margin position with slim pickings in the candidate pool. That’s why it’s crucial to stay agile. Regularly review your job list, assess which positions deserve your focus each day, and collaborate with your team to make informed decisions. Daily huddles and effective internal communication are your best allies here. They keep your strategy fluid and prevent the stagnation that can plague recruitment efforts. By staying proactive and responsive, you’ll keep the momentum going and drive better results in the ever-evolving recruiting landscape. HAPPY HUNTING!! #recruiting #recruiting101 #careeradvice #staffing

𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐯𝐬 𝐇𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐫 There is a lot of confusion between the two job titles, and it can be frustrating for job seekers as they navigate their way through their job search. Here is a quick breakdown! Recruiter: Usually the first point of contact. They facilitate the interview process from start to finish. However, they don’t make hiring decisions but rather are the liaison between the candidate and the hiring manager and are the ones that keep the candidate informed about the status of their candidacy. Hiring Manager: They oversee the hiring decisions and decide which candidates they move forward with. They know the specifics of the projects and what types of skills are needed for the role. During the interview process, the hiring manager assesses the candidate’s technical skills as well as their interpersonal skills. Candidates need to understand the differences between a recruiter and a hiring manager so their expectations are set, and they can navigate the job process efficiently.
