It was a pleasure as always to present at the College of Policing’s Executive Leadership programme on culture and identities in policing. An excellent question from one delegate about why police forces spend heavily on management consultants rather than universities to examine cultures. I think there’s a lot that we in HEIs need to be mindful of in this regard: timeliness, accessible outputs, trust in dissemination, communication and actionable recommendations. The partnership work between HEIs and police forces in Operation Soteria Bluestone is an example of what can be achieved. https://lnkd.in/eFCwYJrt
