This is why Lewes Football Club are among my “go to” clubs for ideas and for positive re-enforcement. Very few men’s clubs, never mind women’s clubs, think this way. A football club needs a purpose. Something to get it through the inevitable difficult times. When the trophies don’t come, why does a club exist? What’s the point? To make a positive societal change? To develop young players? To take raw talent, refine it and create upside for club and player? There needs to be something more compelling than “winning stuff”. The football world is littered with clubs who used to be “successful.” In women’s football the fan base and the associated pressures don’t really exist. The demands and pressure come from within. So arguably it should be easier to come up with a compelling purpose and execute on strategy because there is no outside “noise”. Lewes Football Club has done this brilliantly. Regardless of what level they are at, they’ll still be at the forefront of the stuff that matters. ❤️

NOVEMBER 01 2023 OPINION AND ANALYSIS TUMEDI MAHLO/ MANUPILATION OF PROCESSES IS THE BIRTH OF THE DEATH OF ANY ORGANISATION LEADING TO CADRE DEPLOYMENT The recent springbok triumph towards retaining the rugby World Cup and becoming the First Nation to secure the Webb Ellis cup for the fourth time, is clear proof that, selection based on merit and fit for purpose is the best method towards achieving success and growth of any organisation. This is the best possible way to select the best people for the job and not giving jobs to friends and family members which eventually leads to nepotism and has clear precedent of collapsing even one of the best organisations across the world. Just imagine what would have happened if Ramaphosa was the one selecting the Rugby national team to represent us, we were obviously going to be knocked out in the first stages. The Recent so called family meeting addressed by the president is nothing short of campaigning and attempting to distract South Africans from their failure to govern largely contributed because of cadre deployment and jobs for friends. Cyril Ramaphosa himself was at the centre of cadre deployment of the current government. It is well known that,he was the chair of the cadre deployment committee which was found to have acted illegal and declared unconstitutional by the Constitutional court. No organisation can grow, be it political or a private organisation if they select individuals based on favorism and position for friends and families. Such practices ought to be abolished and declared illegal and fraudulent especially positions serving the public,as it deprives the people whom are fit for purpose to consume the role as based on their merits.
