At KION Group, June is diversity & inclusion month, as a reminder of the importance of embracing diversity in all of its forms and of strengthening our commitment to inclusion. What I like here in particular is the so-called "Wheel of Power". The #wheelofpower (based on Sylvia Duckworth) is a method that works with social assignments based on identitarian characteristics and shows, how different parts of our identity can give us power in some parts and lead to not having the same chances in certain areas. Why is that? Well, I can say for myself that I have the privilege of having grown up in an educated environment, where diversity and inclusion did go without saying ever since. That makes it even more important to frequently question ourselves against these dimensions and to act and speak up if needed. The wheel of power definitely helps to foster awareness by visualizing those dimensions.
