We have an update from our Head of Technical, James Perry: “The site has been progressing well with topping out of the piled foundations and now ongoing works to the complex podium. The project forms part of a local regeneration scheme and we are excited to see works commence on the main superstructure of this 89-unit 27m high structure. Below is a summary of the projects and their timelines: Westmount: 4 stories, 54 units, completed in 2.6 months. King Edward Park: 4 stories, 34 units, completed in 2 months. McArthur: 6 stories, 50 units, completed in 3 months. Inglewood: 4 stories, 30 units, completed in 2.4 months. Terrace Heights: 5 stories, 47 units, completed in 2.3 months. Based on these projects, a conservative estimate suggests that using traditional site-building methods would likely have taken more than twice as long to complete similar projects. #modular #modularconstruction

A former brickworks site in Folkestone, derelict for years, will be given a new lease of life thanks to our bold intervention. In the absence of private sector interest, we bought the 10-acre plot at Biggins Wood and undertook remediation work with the support of a central government grant. With the land having been made ready, it has now been sold to a developer. 🏗 The Yorkshire Lass, a public house, was reimagined as five modern apartments with a basement car park, delivered in just 12 weeks. This redevelopment project, commissioned by Graycliffe Homes Ltd, highlights the efficiency and sustainability of Insulated Concrete Formwork (ICF) construction. Key elements of the build included: ➡️ Over 1,000 m² of ICF walls, providing excellent energy efficiency and durability. ➡️ More than 200 m³ of structural concrete, with crystalline waterproofing for the basement. ➡️ 500 m² of precast hollowcore flooring installed across the first and second floors. The project involved a close collaboration between Graycliffe Homes Limited , STL Projects Ltd , Jonathan Hayes, and Amvic Building Solutions UK. From the demolition of the original structure to the installation of high-performance materials, the Yorkshire Lass redevelopment showcases how modern construction techniques can preserve functionality while offering sustainable solutions.
