Working remotely gives you approximately 1 day back from your life in a two week period. That’s 2 days in a month. Almost one month in a calendar year. And if your commute is more than 1 hour, numbers would just go up. In most cases, this time is unpaid, in other words, stolen from you. Here is my unpopular opinion: Commute should be compensated, every minute of it. Moreover, the commute should be calculated in your 8 hours working day, the 9 to 5 jobs should be like: 9:00 = Commute starts from home 17:00 = Commute ends back at home If your working conditions are not like this, then your time is being stolen. That’s the case for the majority of the office work culture. #remotework #remote #wfh
