Last month, the Years 5 and 6 class at Australian Christian College - Darling Downs embarked on a thrilling CoRE Science expedition field trip at Point Peron, immersing themselves in the wonders of the coastal ecosystem. From exploring the historic Cape Peron Lookout and the Tamala limestone to uncovering remnants of Australia's military past, the journey was filled with awe-inspiring discoveries. "We marvelled at the resilience of coastal plants and engaged in hands-on learning, identifying biotic and abiotic factors on the beach," said Michelle Santiago Lastrilla, CoRE Co-ordinator at Australian Christian College, Darling Downs. The highlight? Witnessing a school of dolphins swimming nearby. CoRE's unique approach to learning through industry-focused field trips keeps students engaged and sparks lifelong scientific curiosity.
