Suzy will bring her extensive experience in Earth Science education and bridging the gap between STEM education and the mining industry. Sharing insights on how the Gamifying Earth Science (GES) initiative is shaping the future workforce, engaging students from primary to secondary levels in meaningful ways. As part of IMARC’s NextGen Senior Program, CoRE will be hosting 170 150 students from nine schools, where students will experience the industry firsthand, participating in career speed-dating sessions and exploring STEM learning through CoRE’s educational games at our Gamification Zone, sponsored by Newmont Australia. This event is a huge opportunity for students to learn about the diverse careers in the resources sector and for CoRE to showcase the innovative work we are doing to future-proof the workforce. Suzy’s said speaking with IMARC “CoRE has been successful in creating a channel of students that otherwise wouldn’t have been exposed to the industry or even know anything about the industry, and then delivering an integrated learning model that is about future-proofing the workforce.” Come and learn how CoRE is revolutionising STEM Learning!
