How do you feel when someone asks you about your wins? If you’ve just launched a fabulous new product, smashed a sales goal or secured a dream speaking gig, it feels fantastic to share your news. Those moments are amazing and absolutely worth celebrating. But what about when you've been focused on quieter (but oh-so-crucial) tasks – like sending emails, delivering client work on time, prepping for a webinar or posting content? Would you shout about those? Or would you stay quiet and feel, well, maybe a bit inadequate, feeling you’ve nothing significant to share? But here’s the thing: it’s consistently delivering these everyday activities that actually builds our businesses. And maybe if we start celebrating these achievements as wins too, we’ll boost our confidence rather than feeling like we’re not doing enough. We might even find ourselves going a bit further, a bit faster. Until suddenly those massive ‘big’ wins that seemed out of reach are only few mini-steps away. Now I think that’s something to truly shout about! So, this week I’m going to celebrate my micro-wins – however tiny. Will you join me? I’d love to hear and celebrate yours too. 🙌

From the Diamond Foundry website the emphasis of DF seems to be more focused on scientific applications. Therefore I find is a bit surprising that the plan is to increase VRAI showrooms from 8 to 50 in the U.S. market. I do not know what the bottom line contribution Vrai brings to the DF. I understand DF also sells CVD roughs out of Dubai. My guess is that Vrai will not be a significant contributor to the DF bottom line but selling of roughs may be more important. This is all guesswork but hopefully their masterplan will be more obvious over time. Being based in Hong Kong, of course I would be interested in whether Vrai will expand their footprint in Asia. I remain convinced that Hong Kong can be a very effective geographical location as a LGD diamond trading and diamond jewellery trading centre to serve the emerging LGD retail market in South East Asia and the U.S. Sadly, LGD is not exactly well accepted in the mainstream jewellery establishment in Hong Kong even though more and more India traders are offering both type of goods. Definitely worth a look. If HK was good for mined why not LGD ?

Valentines Week is all about relationships and making sure our special peeps know how special they are to us. I think it has a place in the sales arena as well. How we sell is so important, sometimes far more important that what we are selling. Taking time to invest in the client relationship, to build trust and connection, might be the biggest stepping stone of all. You are so right Olivia Lockwood! This post really struck a chord with me today! I was literally on stage during our Global InVision Sales Kick Off meeting 2 weeks ago and I made this statement... "enterprise selling is not about WHAT you're selling, it's about HOW you are selling". The most important thing you can do is to prioritize finding ways to establish trust and connection with your client first. I told my team... "sometimes we have to slow down, in order to speed up". What do I mean by this? I believe the best way to connect with a client is to become a student of their company, their business, their industry, the challenges they face, the opportunities they may have. When you take a little time to do your homework, and then you show up with a point of view, where you can be provocative in your ideas for challenging the status quo and rethinking approaches to common problems, they start to see you in a different light. You elevate your conversation and they see that you are starting from their point of view vs. the point of view of our solutions. This completely changes the dialogue, the engagement, and ultimately the outcome!
