Well, I'm using the posterchild of unsafe airliners, the infamous Tristar L-1011 to illustrate how the traditional aviation industry has been consolidating for decades now. A similar process is inevitable in uncrewed aviation and the signs are already there with the announced merger between Drone Delivery Canada and Volatus Aerospace. At the same time, Aerit announced it is declaring bankruptcy as we see companies aiming at the end user for small package deliveries fall to the realities of such a market. In the meantime Aerialoop in Latin America and ORKID in Colombia continue to thrive in their respective middle mile and B2B segments respectively. We also mentioned Speedbird Aero as one company that has managed to thrive in the end-user sector with unusual success.

Mid-life and end-of-life narrowbody aircraft were the most traded type on the secondary market over the past twelve months, with Boeing's 737 NG comprising nearly a quarter of all acquisitions. Drone Delivery Canada Corp. (Drone Delivery Canada) and Volatus Aerospace Corp. (Volatus) have successfully completed their merger of equals, marking a significant milestone for both companies. Under the terms of the merger, Drone Delivery Canada has acquired all issued and outstanding common shares of Volatus, resulting in Volatus becoming a wholly-owned subsidiary of Drone Delivery Canada. This merger combines Volatus' strong commercialization expertise with Drone Delivery Canada's advanced remote operations and logistics technology, creating a powerful entity poised to lead in the aerospace and drone delivery sectors. The merger, which was approved by shareholders of both companies and the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, represents a 50/50 merger of equals, with shareholders from both companies now holding approximately 50% of the newly combined entity. In connection with the merger, Drone Delivery Canada will change its name to Volatus Aerospace Inc., while maintaining the Drone Delivery Canada brand for cargo operations. The company's shares are expected to begin trading under the new name on the TSX Venture Exchange on or about September 5, 2024.
