Devex asked, "What is the future of the INGO?" We answered. Corus International was intentionally designed to be "the INGO of the future." In alignment with localization, holistic programming and local partnerships that bolster locally led development are fundamental to who we are and how we operate. Our role as an INGO is to accompany our local partners in development–to share resources, expertise and access so that the work and results are more equitable and sustainable. "For me, localization is not a zero-sum, either-or proposition. There is plenty of space for collaboration based on complementary strengths and assets, and it just has to be reconfigured in a way that is...more equitable, and...more reflective of the importance of context, local community rootedness, and knowledge." - Tim McCully, Executive VP, Impact and Partnership Read the Devex article: https://bit.ly/4dgc8px Learn more about our accompaniment model: https://bit.ly/4cVtKY3 #localization #futureINGO #Devex #accompaniment

The future of international INGOs hinges on localization, partnerships, and impact measurement. Localization empowers local communities, builds trust, ensures cultural relevance, and enhances sustainability of INGO interventions . INGO must adapt to local contexts, collaborate with governments and communities, and demonstrate tangible results to ensure long-term sustainability and effectiveness.
