What’s the latest in Visualizing Evaluation Theory? Our very own Sebastian Lemire – guest editor of a special issue of the Journal of MultiDisciplinary Evaluation – believes that visualizations invoking imagery from various aspects of life help evaluators make sense of the evaluation world used in day-to-day practices. Inspired by his son’s love of metro trains, he created an evaluation metro map to provide an overview of various approaches and designs. Delve into his article (and this fascinating issue): https://lnkd.in/e_HcSBwy

At the Atlantic Council Global China Hub and #IPSI #panel “Countering #China’s inroads into the #Indopacific” yesterday, Abt Climate Lead Satyendra Prasad highlighted the critical factors of #sustainabledevelopment, #climatechange and #listening that will determine how power in the #Pacific will unfold. “[These] will be the axis on which geopolitical contestation in the Pacific will play out,” he said. “If you can support the Small Island States with their development challenges and listen to what Pacific leaders are really saying, that will go a long way.” Didn't catch the panel? 🎉 Congratulations to the winners of Abt’s 2024 photo contest, as selected by our own staff around the world! 🥉 Starting with the 3rd place winner, we’re celebrating this brilliant shot where Gladys Mkuchu worked with photographer Philemon Kabuje, to capture pupils at Buhigwe Primary School in Tanzania’s Kigoma Region joyfully accessing clean water within their school premises – a direct impact of their feedback through a suggestion box. Formerly, school pupils walked long distances to fetch water, which disrupted their learning schedule. The USAID Public Sector Systems Strengthening Activity (PS3+) supported the Government of Tanzania to promote the use of suggestion boxes to engage citizens at different levels. #AbtImpact
