Sharing Optics Knowledge through Technical Marketing

Archeologists discovered a huge network of ancient cities hidden in the Amazon rainforest using LiDAR (Light Detection And Ranging) Lasers penetrated the dense tree canopies and created 3D maps of a network of cities dating back 2,500 years Laser-based LiDAR technology has lots of fascinating uses from discovering ancient ruins, to scanning buildings and bridges for quality control, to helping self-driving cars navigate The LiDAR image of the Amazonian ruins I'm showing here is from the University of Exeter #LiDAR #Lasers #LaserOptics #Optics #OpticsAndPhotonics #Photonics #STTEM #Science #Archeology
