Quality is the name of the game. Inventory, as well as production, has to be quality driven. It's funny when I think about quality of work I immediately think about coaching. Whether it's inventory control, producing parts or learning to run a route you do not want to rush. Quality>quantity. Learn to perfect your craft with quality reps!
As someone who has worked in Inventory related jobs, hearing from members within my district of my position at WIS International talking about being left in the dark irks me. I understand that a lot of clients for my line of work prefer speed, but Accuracy should be prioritized above all else, not speed of Inventory. It only causes more roadbumps when prioritizing speed over accuracy. When I worked under Cory Jerr during my first tenure at Wesco Integrated Supply, Accuracy was more emphasized than the speed. Speed came over time, but it was never forced. At least under Cory's leadership in the Tool Crib.
