Seminole County Sheriffs Office - Leadership | Mitigating Risk | Building Resiliency | Investigations | Intelligence | Security
I recently came across a fascinating article by one of the leading experts on public order policing. This topic remains highly relevant, especially as agencies that might not have been concerned with managing public order events a decade ago - certainly are today. Interestingly, these events often reflect a microcosm of our communities. The factors that determine the success or failure of liaison models in public order events are similar to those that affect community policing. In both contexts, the legitimacy of the police and their alignment with the goals and motivations of the demonstrating group or community are crucial for success. https://lnkd.in/ee48Gw6E
