GP Pharmacist | Consultant Pharmacist | Talks about #multidisciplinarycare #ruralhealth #pharmacy #generalpractice *Credentialed Pharmacist of the Year 2024*
The second annual National Symposium for Pharmacists in General Practice is FAST approaching (THIS Sat 10th Feb, 2024) Now, I’m not embarrassed to admit that some Googling was necessary, and my “research” tells me that a "#symposium" is a specialized meeting where #experts discuss and present #research on a specific topic, often fostering in-depth dialogue. It differs from a conference by its focused theme and emphasis on #collaboration rather than diverse topics. So join myself, one of the abovementioned experts, along with a slew of other GP Pharmacists and others in the industry talk about GP Pharmacist things. If you're a pharmacist that has been thinking about entering the multidisciplinary team space, this event is for you. If you are a GP Pharmacist and you want to connect with others in this rapidly expanding role, this event is for you. If you are a pharmacy student that thinks that it's Community, Hospital, Industry or bust, this event is for you. If you are a #doctor, #medicalstudent or #practicenurse and you want to know what having a GP Pharmacist in your practice is all about, this event is for you. If you are someone who wants to impress someone else and say, "yeah I'm attending a Symposium this weekend", then this event could potentially even be for you?! Register FREE at the link below. My session has been pre-recorded because absolutely no one trusted me to stick to my time limit (reasonable), but I will be online live during the event for question time and to respond to questions in the chat. Can't wait to see new faces and of course the familiar ones who've been flying the GP Pharmacist flag for some time now. "Everywhere medicines are, pharmacists MUST be". https://lnkd.in/gpBJb6gT Pharmaceutical Society of Australia The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association (APNA) Australian College of Nursing (ACN) WentWest Murray PHN #GPPharmacy #GPPharmacist #mdt #multidisciplinaryteam #teambasedcare #generalpractice #pharmacy #napsa #pharmacystudents

Free CE Webinar from NABP: The Significance of Race and Ethnicity in Person-Centered Pharmacy Care The National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) has released a free on-demand webinar on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), which explores factors influencing racial and ethnic equity in pharmacy practice. This activity will help pharmacy practitioners understand how social determinants of health, cultural competency, and diversity in the pharmacy workforce affect patients, and how pharmacy staff can improve patient care and outcomes in underrepresented populations. Upon completing this activity, participants will be able to explore the significance of race and ethnicity in person-centered care, the social determinants of health to be considered when counseling patients, the importance of cultural humility when interacting with patients of different racial and ethnic backgrounds, and the effect that underrepresentation of racial and ethnic minority groups in the pharmacy workforce has on patient experiences and outcomes. Pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in all practice settings are the target audience for this activity. Valid for credit through 5/21/27. Registration is required. This event offers 1.50 contact hours in pharmacy education. The webinar is available as both a home study for accredited continuing pharmacy education (CPE) credit or as a non-CPE credit video. Results-Oriented & Passionate Pharmacist Leader Driving Healthcare Excellence | Energetic Supporter of Women in Leadership | Fierce Pharmacy Advocate | Dedicated Wife and Mom
"Hospital pharmacy leaders of the future will be defined by their business skills and change management prowess, according to four health system pharmacy chiefs." TL;DR - With fewer applicants for pharmacy degree programs and residencies, growing the next generation of future chief pharmacy officers (CPOs) is crucial. Future CPOs must excel in business skills and change management to adapt to increasing demand for virtual and at-home healthcare services. Four health system pharmacy chiefs shared their insights: Future chief pharmacy officers (CPOs) must excel in business skills, change management, and strategic planning to adapt to evolving healthcare trends such as virtual and at-home services. They should build infusion centers to stay ahead of market demands, delegate and ensure team accountability, integrate with IT for optimal tool usage, and promote pharmacists' full skill sets for effective practices and billing. CPOs need to be business-minded, financially savvy, nimble, and engaged with industry changes to lead their teams through rapid developments successfully. https://lnkd.in/gU2MAwgW

Digital Clinical Safety Officer (CSO)| Medical Device Regulation (ISO/IEC) | AI Consultant | Pharmacist | Health tech Founder | NHS Clinical Entrepreneur | Micro Angel Investor
Free Pharmacy First webinar? Yes please! I spent my week doing a couple of shifts at my family’s community pharmacy. The juggle of clinical and professional services is very real. Inspired by a tweet (if they are still called that 😅) by Darren Powell on the sheer juggle of clinical services (such as pharmacy first) and dispensing services (e.g clinical and ethical checks). I have decided to run two free #PharmacyFirst webinars. Together we can discuss ideas and tools for best practice. To sign up here: https://lnkd.in/esfpyqk5 Please share with your networks as I know not many community pharmacy teams are on LinkedIn. *More information* 1) Introduction to Pharmacy First, Case based discussion and workload management Date: 24/04/2024 Time: 7.30pm-8.30pm 2) Q and A session on Pharmacy First in Community Pharmacy. Date: 02/05/2024 Time: 7.30pm -8.30pm Who are these webinars for? Designed for members of the pharmacy team (pharmacists, healthcare assistant (counter staff), pharmacy technicians) but anyone is welcome who would like to learn about pharmacy first and support them in their role in supporting the pharmacy first service. Why is it important? Pharmacy first has enabled pharmacy teams to deliver care to patients in 7 key areas. Although initial training has been provided. It is after services have been initiated more questions, information and support can be required, whether it is directly related to clinical questions or workload and organisational management. Therefore these are an opens session to support pharmacy teams in just that. Who am I? My name is Yasmin, a pharmacist and independent prescriber. I have been a community pharmacist for over 12 years (developing and implementing services for the family pharmacy), and an independent prescriber for 3 years. My area of practice is urgent care and minor ailments. I have been prescribing in this area since qualifying prior to the delivery of pharmacy first.
