June is #PrideMonth. The annual event is a celebration of acceptance and inclusivity, which are two concepts we embrace at Cotswold Outdoor. To celebrate we spoke with colleagues about their personal experiences and ways we as a business can improve. Store Manager, Louise Smith said: “I've always felt comfortable in who I am at work, and the people I report to have always been fantastic. “I want to make sure anyone working with me feels comfortable to be who they are, and sometimes I'm sure I've got it wrong over the years, but visibility is really important within a company.”

We are getting ready for the biggest inclusive party on the weekend - the Sydney Mardi Gras! 🌈🎉 I have wanted to participate in a float since I went to my first Mardi Gras 20 years ago. And this year I have been lucky enough to be selected as a DANCER for the Western Sydney University float! We want to look great on the big night and here is a snippet of the dress rehearsal of our excellent choreography! 💃🏻 Why am I a staunch ally and how can we support? In today's diverse workplace, fostering diversity and inclusivity is crucial for success. Here are some key tips to promote a more inclusive environment: 🌈 Celebrate Differences: Embrace the unique backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences of your colleagues. Encourage open dialogue and learning from each other. 🌈 Provide Training: Offer diversity and inclusion training to raise awareness and promote understanding among employees. Education is key to fostering inclusivity. 🌈 Create Safe Spaces: Establish an environment where everyone feels safe to express themselves without fear of judgment or discrimination. 🌈 Promote Diverse & Inclusive Leadership: Encourage diverse representation in leadership roles to reflect the varied voices within your organisation. 🌈 Listen and Act: Actively listen to feedback from employees and take concrete steps to address any issues related to inclusivity and diversity. Let's work together to create a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued, respected, and included. Do you have more diversity and inclusive workplaces tips? And most importantly, who else is also going to the Mardi Gras on Saturday and what are you wearing?! 🤔 #inclusion #diversity #diversityandinclusion #ally #linkedinnewsaustralia With Jennifer Westacott AO Kimberley Ann Pangilinan Melinda Blackmore Becki C. ♻️ Celebrating B Corp Month ♻️ This month we celebrate B Corp Month—an opportunity to recognise and champion businesses committed to making a positive impact on society and the environment. At Face2Face HR we believe that businesses have a responsibility to do more than just turn a profit; they should also strive to create meaningful change in the world around them. For those who may not be familiar, B Corporations, or B Corps, are companies that meet the highest standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. This involves evaluating their impact across various areas such as governance, workers, community, and the environment. In recent years, we've seen a significant uptick in the number of businesses expressing interest in becoming B Corps. This trend is indicative of a broader shift in the business landscape—a move towards prioritising purpose alongside profit. We’re proud to support businesses on their journey towards B Corp certification. Whether it's implementing sustainable practices, enhancing workplace diversity and inclusion, or fostering community engagement initiatives. If you’d like to be part of this movement, we’d love to work with you. Get in touch and let’s have a chat 💬

Holi, the Festival of Colors and its Reflection in Our Workplace. As we gear up to celebrate Holi, the vibrant festival of colors, let’s take a moment to reflect on how this beautiful tradition mirrors our office culture. Holi is all about unity, forgiveness, and new beginnings. It’s a time when we set aside our differences, come together, and celebrate life with colors that symbolize joy, love, and positivity. Isn’t that what a great workplace culture is all about? We, too, come from diverse backgrounds, each adding our unique color to the canvas of our organization. We learn to work together, appreciate each other’s strengths, and support one another through challenges. This Holi, let’s bring the spirit of this festival into our workplace. Let’s celebrate our diversity, foster unity, and create a vibrant, inclusive, and positive work environment. And remember, just as every color has its place in a Holi celebration, every member of our team has a unique role to play in our organization’s success. Happy Holi, everyone. May this festival of colors add more colors to your life and our workplace.

Diving into the impactful realm of St. Patrick's Day celebrations, we uncover a unique facet of cultural unity that resonates within workplace diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). As the nation bathes in the verdant glow of this annual celebration, it serves as more than just a festivity; it's a reflection of shared values and inclusivity. St. Patrick's Day can be a catalyst for fostering a sense of belonging and appreciation for diversity. Companies often leverage the occasion to promote cultural awareness, encouraging employees to learn about Irish traditions and history. This inclusive approach not only celebrates the rich tapestry of backgrounds but also contributes to a more vibrant and harmonious workplace culture. #DEI #InclusionAtWork #CulturalUnity #StPatricksDayImpact #WorkplaceDiversity #EquityAndInclusion

Celebrating Diversity – One Bowl at a Time While enjoying a sweet treat at a local dessert shop recently, I came across these beautiful, intricately designed bowls. Each bowl, with its unique pattern and color, stands out on its own, yet together they create a harmonious and captivating display. This simple yet powerful arrangement reminds me of the beauty and strength of diversity. In our workplaces, just like these bowls, each individual brings their own unique background, skills, and perspectives to the table. It’s this diversity that drives innovation, fosters creativity, and enables us to solve complex challenges in ways we never thought possible. Imagine if all these bowls were the same – the display would lose its charm and vibrancy. The same goes for our teams. Embracing and celebrating our differences not only makes our workplaces more inclusive but also enriches our experiences and broadens our horizons. Let’s continue to appreciate and champion diversity in all its forms, knowing that together, our differences create something truly extraordinary. #Diversity #Inclusion #Innovation #WorkplaceCulture
