Helping franchisors get their brand into more schools or nurseries by up-skilling franchisees to make them more successful | Online Training For Franchise Networks
When I was an Art & Design Co-ordinator in one of my primary schools, I struggled to be able to do much with my budget. Art was what was known as a foundation subject and all the tiny budget was being spent on pritt sticks, sugar paper, poster paints and the like! So when I wanted to bring external providers in to enrich my subject, I had to call in other subject leads to collaborate on the project. The only way this was possible was if the external provider could demonstrate that their service was 'cross-curricular.' That way we could draw funding from budgets allocated to different subjects on the curriculum. Is your activity, service or product cross-curricular in some way? This could make it a little easier for schools to see how they could buy you in. For more insights from my primary teaching career...and how you can apply them to your business to get into schools or nurseries this year...join the Approaching Schools Challenge next week at https://ed.gr/ehbew. I'll be going live every single night to answer YOUR questions!

It’s Teacher Appreciation Week, and if you have school-age kids that means you might have a Target trip on your agenda. I have a suggestion for you… Skip the candle, coffee mug, and candy sections and go straight for the greeting cards. Last year, I polled more than 200 teachers on Instagram to find out how they REALLY want to be appreciated, and there was one answer that came up TEN TIMES more often than anything else. Thank-you notes. Above anything else, teachers want to know their work makes a difference. There’s simply nothing better than hearing that what you’re doing is making a positive impact on a kid’s life. (I left my classroom five years ago, and I STILL have a bin full of thank-you notes and photos I received from my students and their families!) If you’ve already bought the candle, mug, candy, that’s not BAD. Just add a heartfelt note and you’ll make that teacher’s day. And if you want to be super-prepared next school year, here’s a survey you can use to make sure you know EXACTLY how your kids’ teachers prefer to be appreciated. https://lnkd.in/gt-42ekw Teachers and former teachers... what signs of appreciation meant the most to you? ⬇
