When Boom Supersonic was first funded in 2017, the plane was expected to enter service in 2023, last year... The XB-1 demonstrator, something Burt Rutan could have build in his garage, was first planned to fly in 2017. It just flew in march this year, and at a speed comparable to current general aviation propeller planes. Do people really think Boom Supersonic can realistically build the supersonic plane and get it through a certification process for civil aviation and in passenger service in the next five years, as is their latest schedule? And even if they continue to kick the can down the road (as is their business model), will it make sense in the 2030's to scream brutally through the atmosphere instead of going above it? New VTOL rocket technology could get you on the other side of the plane through the vacuum of space in one hour. When will this investor scam end?

Pilots are taught the 1 in 60 rule, which states that after 60 miles, a one-degree error in heading will result in straying off course by one mile.

Many pilots I've talked to recently are finding it challenging to accumulate multi-engine flight hours. Several positions for low-time pilots require a minimum of 50 multi-engine hours. Have you considered joining a flying club near you? Some flying clubs have multi-engine aircraft available for their members. Joining a club can be a cost-effective way to access these aircraft and log multi-engine hours. I have no stake in any of these flying club options...my husband utilized a flying club during his flight training and we found it to be a very beneficial resource.
