Recently, #CSTE Executive Director Janet Hamilton joined other #PublicHealth leaders at the 7-1-7 Roundtable hosted by the Center for Global Health Practice and Impact, Georgetown University and Resolve To Save Lives. Resolve To Save Lives proposes 7-1-7: 7 days to detect a suspected infectious disease outbreak, 1 day to notify public health authorities to start an investigation and 7 days to complete an initial response. The panel discussed the benefits that a national adoption of the 7-1-7 target could bring, improving performance, accountability and transparency in epidemic preparedness and response.
