Join us in celebrating Stephanie Havenridge, Senior Staff Accountant, on her tenth anniversary with Haley Residential! We are grateful she is a part of the Haley family. We are thrilled to celebrate her, share how she has impacted our company, and hear from Stephanie about her decade with Haley. Kelly Peterson ~ Controller Which of our company's core values describe Stephanie the best and why? Building trust within your team is so important. Stephanie is someone who I can rely on to complete a task or finish a project. There is open communication and consistency in her work. Stephanie is a mentor, and she is committed to doing the best job possible. I can’t think of anyone more reliable or motivated. You’re always able to overcome any obstacle thrown your way. Stephanie Havenridge ~ How would you describe the company culture in just three words, and why? Three words I would use to describe our company culture would be: 1) Supportive – Everyone is always willing to help and give guidance when issues or challenges come up. I have never felt like I couldn’t reach out when I needed assistance. 2) Caring - At Haley, we are more than just a number. We are a part of an organization that truly cares about each employee, both professionally and personally. 3) Collaborative – Every department and property work together daily to achieve the same goals and objectives that make Haley successful. If you could pick any superpower, what would it be and why? Mindreading. Sometimes I think it would make life so much simpler.

Being part of a team is a rewarding experience that combines individual skills with collective strength. Collaborative opportunities allow each member to contribute their unique talents, creating a dynamic where diverse perspectives drive innovation. Success in a team is not just about personal achievement but the shared journey toward a common goal. By supporting one another and embracing teamwork, each contributor plays a vital role in the overall success of the group. Together, we accomplish more than any one individual could on their own. I’m grateful to be a part of a wonderful team and organization. We learn, grow, develop and strive to be the best we can be together. As we look toward the future, the opportunities for growth and success are limitless. Being part of a team allows us to harness collective strengths and build on shared experiences, ensuring that each milestone is a stepping stone toward even greater achievements. With a mindset focused on continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation, we not only contribute to the present but also lay the foundation for sustained success. Together, we are shaping a future that promises personal and professional growth, driving us to reach new heights as a team and I’m here for it. Grateful for each day at this firm. More than anyone will ever know. Pictured: Mike Ison - Regional Office Administrator for the Indiana offices

Today, at my rental home, I built four steps. It felt like a monumental achievement, leaving me wondering if any human could build more than four steps in a single day. (I don’t think it is possible.) This experience made me reflect on the importance of appreciating even the smallest victories and taking quick wins. Whether it's completing a task or overcoming a challenge, quick wins build productivity, and greater accomplishments follow. It's a reminder to celebrate your achievements, no matter how small, as they lay the foundation for future success for your team, yourself, and your peers. Celebrate and recognize the good things because positivity also builds, and that is rare at many organizations. One thing I do, which might seem a bit crazy, is keep an archive of every meeting I attend. I keep minutes detailing discussions, next steps, and attendees. I also maintain a spreadsheet of everyone involved with my team, and I make sure to express gratitude either through thank-you notes or utilizing the employer's internal recognition systems. It might seem excessive, but this system works for me. If you've worked with me before, I hope you've received one of these notes and know how sincerely appreciative I am of our time working together. Okay, now take a look at the steps I accomplished using the foolproof eyeballing method.😂😂

We are happy to celebrate Kaitlin Rebella's second anniversary working with Uncommon Bold! Kaitlin has been absolutely incredible at handling strategic communications and brand execution with our clients. Her work is consistently praised for its quality and her commitment to client satisfaction. We asked Kaitlin a few questions to reflect on her time at Uncommon Bold so far, and these were their responses: (1) What has been your favorite part of working at Uncommon Bold? - The team! I'm so thankful for this group of thoughtful, talented, strategic, and above all - kind - professionals. (2) What do you feel has been your biggest accomplishment thus far? - I have been so grateful for the opportunity to help our clients do big, ambitious, important and status quo-busting work. Whether it's breaking new ground in mental health treatments, shifting how people access and benefit from high value health care and social services, or driving health equity, I'm proud of the mission-driven work that prioritizes the social good. (3) What advice would you give yourself one year ago? - Trust the process. Creativity can be messy and slow, but giving space delivers better outcomes.

Four lessons learnt in four years 💡 As we celebrate our 4th birthday today, we’re reflecting on some key lessons that have guided our success: 🧍♀️Prioritise your team and suppliers: Treat your staff and suppliers like your most valued clients. Celebrate small wins, prioritise mental health, and invest in professional growth. A strong team is the foundation of any thriving business. 🚶♀️Know when to walk away: As a small business, it may feel counterintuitive to turn down work. However, if there’s no mutual respect or a client is making your job unnecessarily difficult, it’s better to part ways. Your team’s worth is undeniable—you hired them for a reason. 👑 Value your worth: In the early days, it’s tempting to take every opportunity - but don’t undersell yourself. Be selective and confident in the value that you bring. 💪 Maintain strong relationships: While it’s not always possible to avoid burning bridges, it’s crucial to nurture the relationships that matter. Word of mouth is a powerful tool, and our growth has been fueled by the recommendations of partners, clients, and suppliers. Thank you for being a part of our journey and here’s to what the next four years may bring 💫 Kirsten Samantha Roos | Samantha Thomas | Lavina Naidoo | T.Y Hlangwane

Whatever sector we're in, it's often said that we neglect the very thing we help others with, either in ourselves or in our business. So too for us at Heartward. We may have spent most of our adult lives exploring for our clients how to communicate to greatest effect, or how to ensure external representations match the original intent, but as small business people, our own business can get left behind. Too much time working in the business, rather than on it. To celebrate our 5th birthday and our 6th year of operation, we are currently refreshing the way we show ourselves to the outside world. Its time. After navigating COVID only 14 months after we started, it's time. After having our heads down to grow our business, it's time. After evolving and finessing what we do, it's time. Time to grow up a little. To value our own organisation as much as we value the wonderful work of the organisations we work with. Who better to partner with us on this again, than the talented Zoë Scott :) And it starts with a refreshed colour palette. We've dropped one colour and added two. Given what’s happening in the world, granted this may seem surface, flippant even. But if you are going to run a business, it’s hard work, but it can be fun too. Goodness knows we all need some fun. Do you like it?

So true. Even more ‘hidden’ in today’s technological age is that much greater success will come by applying the ‘Exponential Rule’: treat people much better than they expect or even imagine possible. Use this principle to guide AI in offering solutions that anticipate people’s needs and provide much more value than it earns.
