I would love to convince you that you're wrong over a coffee or drink at VMX this week! If you talk to any clinician, they'll tell you that the legacy PIMS were NOT built with them in mind. Almost all of these software platforms started with the business office and tried to add enough basic EMR functionality to keep the clinical teams from open revolt. The innovation that will massively disrupt the veterinary practice management system market will be when someone stops viewing these systems through the clinical lens and starts thinking about them as CRMs. For three decades, developers have focused on catering to clinicians.
