I help medical sales professionals to sell more to HCPs / stakeholders & retain business without making costly mistakes. ▶︎1-on-1 & group Medical Sales Coaching ▶︎Medical Sales Workshops ▶︎Medical Sales eCourses
What's one of the funniest things that's ever happened to you as a medical rep? One of my accounts was having trouble using a wire-driver I sold (for driving K-wires into bone. I scheduled an in-service. My goal was to have each participant drill a k-wire into a sawbone. The entire O.R. staff showed up. Before starting, I asked the O.R. supply coordinator to pass out a K-wire to each person in the room. I start the in-service and tell everyone it's going to be fun. One of the participants is cracking up and says, "Mace, what kind of fun did you have in mind?" It was at that moment that I noticed the supply coordinator wasn't passing out k-wires. She was passing out tubes of KY. For a while, I was known as The KY Guy. At least I was memorable. #MedicalSales #HealthcareSales #MedTech #PharmaSales #Hospital Sales

FAQ: Q: What is the difference between a Locum Practice Manager and a Primary Care consultant? A: Think of a Locum Practice Manager as a caretaker whilst someone is absent or needs a helping hand. A Primary Care Consultant is more like a troubleshooter who can take an objective look at a situation and suggest solutions. They may go on to project manage those solutions or you may decide to do this yourself. www.lpm.team

Navigating Compliance: Mastering Plans of Correction for Texas Assisted Living Facilities In the realm of healthcare compliance, Plans of Correction (POCs) stand as a critical tool for Assisted Living Facilities in Texas. These plans are not merely administrative tasks; they are mandatory responses to violations identified by Health and Human Services surveyors, essential for maintaining licensing and ensuring quality care. A comprehensive POC must address five key criteria: 1. Corrective Action for Affected Residents • Specify materials and methods used to address the deficiency • Provide clear, actionable steps taken to remedy the situation 2. Identification of Potential Impacts • Outline processes to identify other residents potentially affected • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the deficiency's scope 3. Systemic Changes for Prevention • Detail measures implemented to prevent recurrence • Focus on long-term, sustainable solutions 4. Monitoring and Effectiveness • Describe programs established to monitor corrective actions • Explain how you'll ensure ongoing compliance and effectiveness 5. Completion Timeline • Set realistic, acceptable dates for each corrective action • Ensure timely implementation of all measures As healthcare professionals, it's crucial to approach POCs not as punitive measures, but as opportunities for systemic improvement and enhanced resident care. I invite fellow Assisted Living Facility operators and healthcare compliance professionals to share their experiences with POCs. What strategies have you found most effective in addressing these criteria? Let's engage in a productive dialogue to elevate the standard of care across Texas.
