Here are the five WORST tips for creating videos. #5 - Wait until you have a better camera and microphone... and lights. #4 - Try to please EVERYONE. #3 - Procrastinate. #2 - Compare yourself to other video creators. and #1 - Don't post your videos until they're PERFECT. Hook, story, what!?!?!? If you are thinking of videos in such a scripted manner your are missing the point. The point is to give something of value so the viewer will pay attention. This is based off of the fact that the people you’re showing actually care about what you’re saying. If you don’t give them a good reason to watch or care, why should you be rewarded with quality attention? Just because you followed a formula? #videocontent #socialmedia #calltoaction

Are your client’s videos bubbling under the 200 views?🤔 1️⃣- Add emotion to your videos and try to connect to viewers on an emotional level, say things that people love/hate/ make theminteract with you. 2️⃣- Get honest feedbacks from friends, family or fellow experienced marketers on how your contents are looking and to tell you wether they felt something or not when they’re watching. 3️⃣- Be visual, by using more visuals in your contents, you increase the engagement and get users to be hooked to your videos and therefore the emotional connection happens. This should get you out of the 200 views ( test group jail).

Visual Narrative My FYP is full of the "viral chocolate strawberries" sound/trend, and all of the videos follow this guide (1. whitty message 2. relevant tags 3. the jazzy sound & 4. the camera pan of the subject) Think anything is missing or is this the formula? Viral video creators know something you don't. And it's a big part of why they go viral while you just get views from your supportive granny. All 3 of the videos below use this technique. And it's the reason they ALL have 10M+ views. Can you guess what it is? They've all used a Visual Hook. This is important for 2 reasons: 1) We process visuals up to 100X as fast as words. 2) The vast majority of viewers will skip your video in the first 1-3 seconds. So if we only have a second or 2 to capture attention, then using something that we can process significantly faster makes sense. With the Visual Hook, we have context in milliseconds. While the average verbal hook takes 5 seconds to get through. I thought it was interesting to see how YouTube categorises video duration here.[read to end for little game] 😎 👀 When you search YouTube you can FILTER your results. When you do you'll find these three duration category filters. ❓ What do you consider to be 'short form' or 'long form' video durations❓ I consider up to ⏰ 60 seconds to be 'short form' and yet 'long form' I consider to be over ⏰ 4 minutes also like YouTube use as a watershed time. This means I have a 'middle form' gap 🤣 👉 ☝ 🖖 The 1-4 minute gap.... 'middle form' what videos go here? Typically they are information videos; videos your viewer is watching when they are investigating. 🐟 Did you know we need stimulus every ⏰ 9 seconds to stay engaged in a video? 🐠 attention span of a goldfish 🐡 Here is a fun game for you: Next time you watch your favourite 📺 TV show, 🔢 count the seconds between cuts, scene changes, camera angle changes, or camera movement. If you want to have a video go viral, it MUST do this one thing. Must people think that you can put captions on a talking head video (a lot like this one), and that it will magically get views. But that's not how it works. If your video doesn't do this one thing, then nothing else you do matters, because, well... no-one will be watching ;).
