FINDING THE PERFECT VENUE: If you’re about to embark on this often-monumental task, then here are a few points to consider -   - Decide on your guest list numbers early. If you plan to have a large wedding and dream of a country house, then you may need to consider having a marquee on the lawn to accommodate the numbers for example (always check this is an option).   - What overall feel would you like for your big day? Are you looking for a formal or more casual affair? The type of venue will invariably dictate certain elements, for example a marquee reception in a rural location will evoke more of a relaxed feeling, whereas a city wedding in a boutique hotel is likely to be more formal.   - With many couples choosing to have their celebration across several days, it can be great to take exclusive use of a property so everyone can stay on-site or certainly nearby. Do your research as to what activities are readily available to help elevate your guests’ stay, such as a spa, golf or river boat trip.   - Consider the existing décor or the venue, as whatever look you wish to create, it ideally needs to work in harmony with the interior.    One of our favourite country venues is Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire as shown here and shot by John Nassari
