Charlotte Johnstone reports: The firm’s revenue has hit £196.6 million for 2023, a significant increase of £63 million on 2022, when revenue stood at £133.6 million. It comes in a year that the litigation powerhouse took on major mandates for Credit Suisse investors, among others. Profit has also leapt 60% from £94.87 million in 2022 to £153.6 million for 2023. FCA Recovers £1.6m for Investors from Unlawful Schemes The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has secured £1.6 million from Argento Wealth Ltd (AWL) and its director, Daniel Willis, who promoted two alleged unlawful investment schemes. The High Court approved the consent order, aiming to return the money to investors. The FCA claimed AWL unlawfully took £2.8 million in deposits and arranged investments in EMB Fund Limited, breaching financial promotion restrictions. Willis was accused of being knowingly involved. The settlement prevents investor funds from being depleted by legal fees.
