Sustainability sits at the heart of Tanmiah’s strategy. Managed and delivered this project with immense support from sustainability team, I am happy to share (or reshare) link to our inaugural sustainability report. Its our first report and like all the "first" things, it came with new learnings, insights, and experiences. Sustainability is core to our strategy and with this report, we have attempted not only to tell our sustainability journey to the world but also to showcase all the good work our colleagues in Tanmiah are doing on a day-to-day basis in the ESG space and how their actions are leaving positive impact on the people, planet, and community. This report is a story that covers sustainable processes in the smallest unit in our value chain - our farms - and all the way up to the good governance practices by the board and the executive leadership. It’s a story of our colleagues planting trees in the middle of desert, waking up at 4am to check the bird temperature, spending hours of research time to formulate feed with more sustainable ingredients, training people with special abilities and including them as part of our operations, monitoring logistical routes to minimize carbon emissions …..and the list goes on. Advania's sustainability report for 2023 is published. It shows a lot of effort and ambition in all countries. ESG will become more important in the next years and we, like all other companies, have to improve. It is not enough to be good yourself and have ambitious goals as the IT industry is "only" responsible for <2% of the carbon footprint. We have to be part of the solution for our customers. How can we help them smartly lower their CO2 footprint. By using technology intelligently, it is estimated that the carbon footprint can be cut by 15 to 20%! That is why we are building the Dreamhouse "IT equipment recycling center" as we need to switch from linear to circular model for all electronic products. When it is fully operational, we will be able to reuse over 1 million devices and reduce our customers' carbon footprint from devices up to 50%! Well done to everyone who has contributed passionately to this very important issue that affects us all. Great work and more to come!

🌎 Sustainability Snippet♻️ Did you know that life-cycle assessments (LCAs) can have different scopes? 💫Cradle-to-gate is an assessment of a partial product life-cycle from resource extraction (cradle) to the factory gate (i.e., before it’s transported to the consumer). 💫Cradle-to-grave is an assessment of the full product life-cycle from resource extraction (cradle) through the use phase and disposal phase (grave). At Formica Group North America, we use the cradle-to-gate scope for our onsite LCAs because we focus on the stages under our control. We can make our processes more efficient, and we can select less impactful raw materials. We continue to monitor developing regulations regarding the potential for carbon storage benefits of long life-cycle products at the end of their useful life.
