"Never Give a Mick a Mic" is the old saying! But when it comes to #diasporaengagement, you cannot keep the Irish off a microphone so I am excited to announce a set of strategic public speaking commitments on #diaspora for the summer. The beauty of today's world is that you do not have to do all of these in-person so it will be a blend of digital with a very select set of in-person sessions. Look forward to speaking on topics such as #culturaldiplomacy, #investment, #philanthropy, #policy, and #power within diaspora engagement. It will include sessions for partners (including donors, embassies, international cooperation actors, private sector, and more) working on diaspora engagement in #Armenia, #BosniaandHerzegovina, #India, #Mexico, #Montenegro, and a few more locations. Just shows the reach of this topic in terms of geography and sector. It is exciting to see the work of Global Diaspora Insights and our partners at The Networking Institute continue to land across the globe. The brilliant thing about #publicspeaking is usually not necessarily what you end up sharing but what you end up learning from others along the way! We have some exciting stuff to share with folks and what we will learn will sharpen the focus on some very, very exciting things we are going to do at back-end of the summer. Highlights from soon ending "Subcarpathian Culture without barriers" project in #Poland 🇵🇱 This unique project brought cultural experiences to 5 municipalities in the Subcarpathia region, fostering collaboration between municipalities, local artists, NGOs, and cultural centers. We organized the Norwegian 🇳🇴 - Polish Culture Creators festival, workshops, exhibitions, performances, and more, all aimed at increasing access to cultural heritage and promoting cultural entrepreneurship in the Subcarpathian region of Poland. The celebration aims to highlight the importance of these relationships in building a more peaceful and inclusive world. Activities and events held on this day often focus on community engagement, cultural exchange, and educational initiatives to foster dialogue and understanding. Both private and public sectors of all Member States have been expected to implement this Directive more than 20 years ago. The reality in the workplace is that there is still hesitation to express their sexual identity and sexual orientation by community members due to fear of negative cosepquences. Such aversive experiences may lead to lower productivity rates and, most importantly, negative emotions and job satisfaction.
