LinkedIn Job Hacks That Actually Work
I haven't tried them all, but I've experimented with a few hacks that have worked for me. While I haven't landed my dream job or a role I truly desired yet, these strategies have led to promising leads, interviews, and participation in projects I never even knew existed.
One effective tactic is when you see a job advertisement online, use the Easy Apply button on LinkedIn. Then, go directly to the company’s page and apply there as well. It may seem like a lengthy process, but it increases your chances of being noticed. Additionally, I make an effort to send direct messages to recruiters or even other employees in the company to request referrals. Since I don't subscribe to LinkedIn Premium and have limited access, I use my personalized messages wisely to maximize their impact.
Another useful method is using Boolean search techniques, which have become quite popular lately. Many influencers talk about this approach. By using quotation marks and specifying the role you are searching for, you can refine your job search. For example, searching for “content writer” and Remote gives you the latest job postings. This technique helped me secure a waitress role when I was in desperate need of a job. It even landed me an interview.
