Life changing words 👇🏼 A main part of CrossFit’s training methodology is about being strong both physically and mentally, and staying positive. This idea is shown by changing how you think from “I can’t” to “I haven’t done it yet.” This small change in words shows a big change in your attitude. CrossFit focuses on getting better and growing personally. In CrossFit, we see challenges as chances to grow, not as big problems. Coaches and the CrossFit community help by adjusting workouts and celebrating every single success, making it a place where your limits are only temporary. The saying “I haven’t done it yet” simply means that even if you can’t do something now, if you keep trying, you will do it later. This positive way of thinking is important in CrossFit and in life. It helps build mental strength and the ability to keep going no matter what’s thrown your way. It changes how you see what you can do and your future possibilities. The rules change. Coaching is like Chess, if every time you sat down to play, the rules changed. The only thing that stays the same is the board, the rest do their own thing. It's strange, it's evolving, its complicated. Where we start to slip is simplifying it into logical solutions. Human's aren't logical, they're emotional which means more often than not; they're irrational. Therefore, having a perfectly and neatly set out plan and following it to the T is like trying to find a needle in a haystack; it can be done but the odds are not in your favour. So, what do we do? Great question! We do the only thing we can do, prepare as purposely and intently as we can but be aware that when we are on the floor things may need to change. The perfect class is going to look different person to person, day to day, thing to thing, all of it. It will never look the same. So, we must learn to embrace it, dance with it and be open to the lessons it tells us. I stand by it, members teach coaches more than coaches teach members, and it's a privilege to be on that journey with you.
