Some additional thoughts: 1) Eat something beforehand and pace yourself. 2) The most intimidating person next to you will be your best friend. 3) The least intimidating person will smoke you. Lol Crossfit is unique. It’s all about you but it’s also a community. Go in with an open mind and you will walk out with life long friends
Might sound strange but prepare to have the most satisfying and mind changing pain of your life which makes you grow both mentally and physically.
Wish I had the hindsight to watch out for the squats. I was good with everything else but now my legs compete with jello! Good stuff!

1yI recall vividly the first time I walked into a CF box. Had no idea. Not a clue. Just driving by CrossFit Brunswick and stopped in. What I can tell you is that what I was doing a my current Globo gym was not working and I desperately needed new inspiration. I found that inspiration, hard work and community. Best drive-by I ever made! Eight years later and still going STRONG! Don't be intimidated by what you might think you know about CF. It is really up to you, the individual and your goals! Give it a "good" try before you make an excuse and walk away. You too might find new inspiration.
