Almost 12 years ago😲, the 'next big thing' in personal computing was released — the Microsoft Surface "RT" model. Beating at the heart of this “RT” model was an ARM based processor unlike any seen in a Microsoft device before, the same core type running in Apple’s now-wildly-popular iPad. Sadly, what we did get was a hot, slow, incompatible device, but one that still represented the beginning of a journey, that so far has now led to the launch of Copilot. It was a long road to get here from that ill-conceived paperweight in 2012, but man, this is getting interesting. 👀 Check out 👇 our recently episode of the Solid State Podcast for our full hands-on review of the new Microsoft Surface and Dell XPS devices running Copilot Plus: https://lnkd.in/gHX7njxP #Microsoft #CopilotPlus

“The Difference is on the Surface with Microsoft Copilot” In the ever-evolving landscape of technology, two giants stand out: Microsoft and Apple. While both companies have their unique strengths, it’s on the SURFACE😉 where Microsoft truly shines, thanks to its remarkable AI companion, Microsoft Copilot. “Achieve Anything YOU Can Imagine Microsoft Copilot” isn’t just an ordinary assistant; it’s your everyday AI companion. With Copilot by your side, you can achieve feats beyond imagination. Whether you’re coding, writing, or creating, Copilot enhances your productivity and creativity. It’s like having a brilliant teammate who anticipates your needs and provides intelligent suggestions. Worlds Apart: Let’s compare Microsoft Copilot’s approach with Apple’s recent misstep. Apple’s iPad Pro advertisement, though well-intentioned, missed the mark. The ad depicted the destruction of human creativity and art, symbolized by crushed musical instruments, paint cans, and even the destruction of a human head. As the hydraulic press lifted, the new iPad Pro emerged—a powerful device, but at what cost? Apple: The internet erupted in response. Users criticized the Apple for its insensitivity toward creative tools and the fear that AI might replace human workers. Actor Hugh Grant aptly described it as “the destruction of the human experience.” Apple swiftly apologized and decided not to air the ad on TV. Microsoft: In contrast, Microsoft Copilot celebrates creativity. It empowers users, amplifying their abilities rather than diminishing them. Copilot understands context, assists with complex tasks, and adapts seamlessly to your workflow. It’s a testament to Microsoft’s commitment to innovation and user-centric design. So, when it comes to innovation and thoughtful technology, Microsoft Copilot takes the lead. Let’s appreciate the positive impact it brings to our lives, making us better drivers on the road of innovation.#Microsoft #Surface #Copilot #STS

Curious about the new Apple Vision Pro ? . This gent gives the best hands on introduction I have seen and goes in detail enough to serve as a soft onboarding to the product. . The words are hard to find to be a witness to this moment in history. The last time I was this in awe was in 2006 when I held the iPhone for the first time knowing it was day one of a life changing adventure. . For the critiques and the skeptics…. Take out your first iPhone, look at the first apps in the App Store and the iTunes Store and remember the path…. . This product will get lighter, measure and scan the physical world and be wholly integrated as the portal between the outside and the inside world :) . If you can remember the fax, the photocopier, the printer and the scanner when they combined …. Or when other mega tech intersections arrived … this is by far the biggest one yet … . The next version will be lighter …. The battery will be figured out and the metaverse will be under construction by every Vision Pro holder with digital Currency in their wallet (Apple cash) and their digital avatar already created from the iPhone, Mac and iWatch data …. . But the killer app for me is the virtual Mac screen (s) …. I am still going wow wow wow days later as it removes the need for multiple screens ! . Ps…. No one is talking about the lack of retina fatigue or 3D fatigue … at 90 frames per second … this innovation really focused on brain health. . But that pinch keyboard !!!!!!!! Can’t wait for my apply whiteboard to be ready so I can start designing with my team :) Feeling like Minority Report already lol . All in all…. Two thumbs up. . BERT.rand(eng, MBA) Nepveu 🥽⚜️ So grateful for your genius …. And how far you got this product along so that Apple could work their regular magic. . #apple #applevisionpro #eghtruths . .

One week ago, I ordered an Apple Vision Pro. Even though other Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality devices have struggled, I'm cautiously optimistic that Apple is the company to usher in this new age of Spatial Computing. What are your thoughts on Spatial Computing, or whatever you want to call it? #spatialcomputing #applevisionpro #virtualreality #augmentedreality

This makes me think so much about the early 2000’s and how everybody thought people looked ridiculous “talking to themselves” using hands-free on their phones. I remember how foreign it felt seeing others walk around talking to no one, and how disconnected from reality it looked. And now look at all of us looking at a rectangular screen talking to someone on the other side of the world through a small wireless device inserted in our ear. Have you been lately on a train? Or in any waiting room? Or any concert? Imagine telling your past self in 2007 that in less than 20 years nearly all of humanity would be connected through a small ubiquitous computer that everybody would be carrying with them at all times. And that we would work, shop, laugh, fall in love, and start social movements through it? The new Apple Vision Pro has a bit of the same flavor to me. It feels crazy at first, but when you look back to the past it feels like we’ve been there before. In that space where new technology feels both like magic and like a curse at the same time. If we can learn something from history is that big technological leaps like these are crazy until they aren’t anymore. At the end of the day, it’s never about the technology itself, is about how we use it. A hammer can help build you a home or can be a weapon. Our phones can help me connect my mother on the other side of the planet with my daughter, or can be used to start wars and threaten democracy. Interesting times ahead, I hope we start early asking the right questions about how do we want to benefit from this new leap this time. #applevisionpro #foresight #futures
