October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month - a time to unite, raise awareness, and encourage healthy habits. 🎗️ Research shows that regular exercise can lower the risk of breast cancer, another reason why at Cubico, we are dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyles for both our team and the communities we serve. This past weekend, our team in Greece joined over 50,000 participants in Athens for the Race for the Cure, an annual event organised by Hellenic Association of Women with Breast Cancer, Alma Zois. A huge well done to all Cubico team members who took part and helped raise money for this important cause. #BreastCancerAwareness #RaceForTheCure

This week, we submitted our response to the UK Government's consultation on the proposed reforms to the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF). Cubico fully supports the Government’s ambition to become a "Clean Power Superpower" by 2030 and welcomes the proposed revisions. However, we believe that further reforms are needed to create a planning system that enables timely, consistent, and efficient decision-making for developers, investors, and policymakers. We are pleased to have contributed to the NPPF consultation and have identified five key considerations that we believe are essential for accelerating the deployment of renewable energy in the UK. We are proud of the impact Wind Wall I, our 46.5 MW wind farm, has made since entering commercial operations in 2021. Celebrating World Cleanup Day 2024! 🌍   World Cleanup Day focuses on tackling the global waste crisis, and supports multiple UN Sustainable Development Goals by protecting biodiversity, tackling environmental degradation and fostering community engagement.   Earlier this year, our Athens office colleagues took part in a cleanup at Chamolia Beach on the eastern coast of Attica, collecting over 30kg of waste along a short stretch of the water, emphasising the importance of such activities in keeping our coastlines clean.    These efforts align directly with our commitment to environmental protection, a core pillar of our ESG strategy, as we strive to bring about a cleaner, more sustainable planet! 🌊♻️   #WorldCleanupDay #EnvironmentalProtection #OceanAction

Did you know that flamingos from across the Mediterranean and the North African coast migrate to areas of Spain, attracted by its rich wetland habitats for feeding and nesting. However, climate change, prolonged drought, and record temperatures are impacting their migration patterns. A colleague captured some footage of these beautiful birds in the ponds of our Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) facility in Olivenza, underscoring our commitment to minimising environmental impacts of our operations and protecting biodiversity at all our sites.🦩🦩 #ClimateChange #Biodiversity
