  • We’re delighted to announce that our Crossett Solar Park in Arkansas has entered commercial operations! ⚡ The 132MWdc solar PV facility, which has a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Google, will provide clean energy for the tech giant’s Midwestern data centres, as part of their goal to run on 24/7 carbon-free energy in every grid where they operate. Crossett Solar Park adds to our operational portfolio in the United States, which now exceeds 880MW, with over 260MW of solar capacity delivered in the past year alone. As the demand for clean energy continues to surge, we are committed to growing our footprint and contributing to America’s renewable energy goals. #solarpower #cleanenergy #ppa #energytransition #america

  • This October, we proudly celebrate Global Diversity Awareness Month! At Cubico, diversity is one of our six core values, and our Cubico Diversity Network (CDN) is committed to fostering inclusion and amplifying underrepresented voices. The CDN creates a platform for employees to share their experiences, advocate for change, and help to shape our inclusive culture. Maria Ardila, a global Development and Construction Analyst and Chair of the CDN, recently shared her thoughts on the value of diversity, collaborating across global teams, and her experiences as a woman in engineering. #GlobalDiversityAwarenessMonth #Inclusion #WomenInEngineering

  • Today is World Food Day! 🌍🍽️ This year’s focus emphasises the urgent need for greater diversity in the nutritious foods we grow, sell, and consume. Building a sustainable food future requires addressing climate change while fostering peaceful, resilient, and inclusive livelihoods for everyone. At Cubico, we believe everyone has a role to play in creating a more food-secure future. From donating and volunteering with food banks to support families in need, to hosting events at our offices to raise funds for important causes like free school meals and global food banks, we are deeply committed to ensuring access to food, which is vital for social development. As climate change increasingly threatens the global food system, our commitment to driving the energy transition and building a greener future grows stronger. We are dedicated to supporting both the planet and the people who rely on it, ensuring a more sustainable and resilient future for all. #WorldFoodDay #FoodSecurity #ClimateAction

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month - a time to unite, raise awareness, and encourage healthy habits. 🎗️ Research shows that regular exercise can lower the risk of breast cancer, another reason why at Cubico, we are dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyles for both our team and the communities we serve. This past weekend, our team in Greece joined over 50,000 participants in Athens for the Race for the Cure, an annual event organised by Hellenic Association of Women with Breast Cancer, Alma Zois. A huge well done to all Cubico team members who took part and helped raise money for this important cause. #BreastCancerAwareness #RaceForTheCure

  • This week, we submitted our response to the UK Government's consultation on the proposed reforms to the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF). Cubico fully supports the Government’s ambition to become a "Clean Power Superpower" by 2030 and welcomes the proposed revisions. However, we believe that further reforms are needed to create a planning system that enables timely, consistent, and efficient decision-making for developers, investors, and policymakers. We are pleased to have contributed to the NPPF consultation and have identified five key considerations that we believe are essential for accelerating the deployment of renewable energy in the UK. • We are proud of the impact Wind Wall I, our 46.5 MW wind farm, has made since entering commercial operations in 2021. By supplying zero-carbon energy to Amazon's AWS business through a Power Purchase Agreement, we’ve helped the technology giant reach its ambitious goal of matching all the electricity consumed across its operations with 100% renewable energy, well in advance of its 2030 target!   As our US Country Head Stacey Kusters notes: “Wind Wall I is a fantastic example of how our clean energy projects are not only reducing emissions, but also driving the future of tech in a sustainable direction as electricity demand for AI and data centres surges across America and beyond."   #RenewableEnergy #Sustainability #WindPower #Amazon #California #ZeroCarbon

  • Celebrating World Cleanup Day 2024! 🌍   World Cleanup Day focuses on tackling the global waste crisis, and supports multiple UN Sustainable Development Goals by protecting biodiversity, tackling environmental degradation and fostering community engagement.   Earlier this year, our Athens office colleagues took part in a cleanup at Chamolia Beach on the eastern coast of Attica, collecting over 30kg of waste along a short stretch of the water, emphasising the importance of such activities in keeping our coastlines clean.    These efforts align directly with our commitment to environmental protection, a core pillar of our ESG strategy, as we strive to bring about a cleaner, more sustainable planet! 🌊♻️   #WorldCleanupDay #EnvironmentalProtection #OceanAction

  • Last week, members of our US team, together with our central procurement and engineering teams, attended RE+ in Anaheim - one of the largest clean energy events in America!   The Cubico team had the opportunity to connect with key suppliers, partners, and stakeholders, gaining valuable insights into the latest technologies and supply chain trends. This knowledge will be essential as we prepare to advance our multi-GW pipeline of projects across the US in the coming years.   Exciting times ahead! ⚡ #CleanEnergy #Innovation #RE
