Victoria Mustard, Decarbonisation Strategy Lead at Xoserve comments on the National Infrastructure Commission's latest report today:
"The National Infrastructure Commission’s (NIC) conclusion that hydrogen will be critical for decarbonising heavy industry, and the recommendation to create a national hydrogen network, is a welcome one. It’s good to see national debate about ‘whole system’ infrastructure.
“We read the report and its bold recommendations with interest, particularly when it comes to the use of the future of the gas network. While enabling more renewables to come onto the grid is fundamental to net zero, the gas industry currently remains a crucial component in achieving the UK’s sustainability goals. A focus on electrification does not change this, indeed the gas industry has been supporting the increase in electrification as part of a whole energy system for many years.
“Meeting the demand for energy while achieving net zero is a complex journey that cannot be achieved with a single fuel. A low-carbon gas network could provide supportive energy services, such as seasonal storage, domestic heating or high-temperature heat for industry while we agree which energy sources present the best options for the UK.”
While NTIA efforts have streamlined some aspects of federal agency permitting, including modifications to the National Historical Preservation Act (NHPA), the road to successful permitting remains intricate. With the advent of BEAD and other federal programs, project timelines have tightened dramatically, underscoring the importance of expert guidance in this nuanced arena.
That's where CHR Solutions comes in. Our team of seasoned experts is equipped to guide you through the convoluted permitting process across federal, state, and local levels. Failure to navigate these waters effectively can lead to severe consequences, including missed deadlines and potential fines from the government.
Don't let permitting delays derail your project. Contact CHR Solutions today to ensure your project stays on track from conception to completion.
