Community programs that bring together older adults (65+) and young people (-18) have resulted in fewer depressive symptoms and better emotional and mental health. This is one of the ways that we can address loneliness and increase collective efficacy, social capital and social cohesion. #rethinkaging
Please take the time to watch this incredible video featuring the intergenerational LIFT program from Hamilton-Madison House - bringing together older adults and teens to form a community. We are so excited about the Magic on Madison. If you're moved by this video, please consider donating to the LIFT program college visit fund. If you own significant land assets and need to preserve your operating capital, donating land as a conservation easement can improve your cash flow. If you’re a farmer or rancher making this charitable donation, you could deduct 100% of your adjusted gross income and carry forward unused contributions for 15 years. In this article, Joe Fitts, CPA, Senior Manager at Aldrich, discusses the IRS's requirements and the benefits of conservation easements: https://lnkd.in/gvfbzkVE #AldrichAdvisors #TaxDeduction #Easements

Education unlocks potential, but financial barriers often block deserving students' paths—especially for first-generation and undocumented scholars. That's why we at Mission Graduates are proud to partner with the Mission Promise Neighborhood to provide critical support for students at John O'Connell High School. Our goal is to bridge the higher education gap. Even with traditional financial aid, students face tuition gaps, application fees, and technology costs. Undocumented students confront even greater hurdles as they don't qualify for government tuition assistance. Here's how you can make a difference: • Donate: Text MPNSF24 to 53-555 or visit givebutter.com/MPNSF24 to invest in their futures. • Volunteer: Let me know if you'd like to explore volunteering, including opportunities with scholarship selection. • Spread the Word: Share this post to raise awareness about #EducationEquity! #MissionGraduates #EducationEquity #UndocumentedStudents #FirstGeneration #CollegeAccess #SanFrancisco
This is how YOU can help Mission students get to college: The 9th annual Mission Promise Neighborhood Scholarship Fundraiser starts TODAY! For the past 9 years, Mission Promise Neighborhood (MPN) and Mission Graduates have teamed up to help college-bound seniors at John O'Connell High School reach the next step towards achieving their dreams with a college education. Today through May 15th, help us reach our goal of $10,000 to send our amazing Mission students to college. Donate by texting MPNSF24 to 53-555 or visiting givebutter.com/MPNSF24

Every year, winter coats, gloves, hats and more decorate our warming trees at our Monon/Francesville plants. Started by our very own plant clerk Kim Payne nearly a decade ago, we partner with fellow members of our local communities such as churches, schools and service organizations to help keep families safe and warm during the cold winter months. Thank you to each individual that was able to donate! Here are just a few of the incredible businesses that generously donated to supply our community with winter clothing.
