An amazing article from Lucy Lewis and Charlotte Morgan for PLC Magazine on creating an inclusive space for neurodiverse employees. This article gives a great overview of the law relating to neurodiverse employees and some practical tips that companies can easily implement. My favourite tip today, you ask? Offer adjustments to all! Ask all employees if they require any adjustments. This proactively assists staff and creates a dialogue with employees. This means it is easier for employees who need adjustments to come forward and also helps to mitigate any potential stigma someone might feel about coming forward. This could even be discussed at a "Lunch N' Learn" session with teams which could cover neurodiversity and how to be inclusive. [3] Set Clear Policies: - No Tolerance: Implement a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination and harassment. - Equality for All: Ensure that all policies promote fairness and equality for everyone.
