My Thursday consisted of getting away from my inbox and into the countryside. ☀️📩❌ An absolutely phenomenal day at Up World’s Up Fest yesterday, organised by the brilliant Lottie Unwin (she/her), Hope Kelly and team! Such a great networking experience surrounded by inspiring industry leaders and likeminded marketing managers while taking part in stimulating roundtable talks and discussions. A few personal highlights for me: 🍫 Lucy Scott from Tony's Chocolonely leading a fascinating talk on how to use partnerships to maximise reach with a challenger brand budget, and how important ‘gut-feel moments’ are ☕️ Claudia Winter from Blank Street speaking on how to use digital and social to generate brand love, and how much power UGC has 📚 Kevin Chesters discussion on the science of storytelling and its importance within marketing. Did you know people are 22x more likely to recall and engage with something if told as a story? Wish I’d started this post with ‘once upon a time’ now Huge shoutout to the delicious brands involved in supporting the event too (spot Cheesies in the goody bags 👀) I’ve come away refreshed, energised and inspired to think bigger about my brand and continue pushing and learning to become an even better marketeer.
