❌ What barriers do young people experience when they visit our cultural venues or public spaces? What effect does it have on their enjoyment? How likely are they to return? Curious Minds has developed a short course to help people working in front of house or public facing roles understand the teenage experience and feel more confident in their interactions with young people. This training will focus on: 🔸 Understanding how our perceptions of young people are formed and how this affects our work. 🔹 Understanding the development of the teenage brain and how this can be an opportunity for youth engagement. 🔸 Examine situations and experiences that can support or discourage young people to access your venue or offer. 🔹 Create a set of actions which will help you develop your work around youth engagement. Sound interesting? Find out more and reserve your place at: https://lnkd.in/eEzArnYy

We hope their trip to the UK has given them the energy and drive to implement key planning and strategies back in their schools. We look forward to continuing working with them on this cultural leadership journey. Thank you to Southbank Centre and Hayward Gallery for their hospitality.

Great to be at Carriageworks Theatre in Leeds today with arts and heritage professionals from across the North of England, for our course I'm A Teenager, Get Me Into There. We're thinking about how just a few small adjustments to our public spaces can result in young people feeling welcome and valued.
