2x Co-Founder & 2x Successful Exit Healthcare Executive; Direct Contracting, Surgical Bundles, Self-Funding, Worker's Comp. Affordable Healthcare For All.
This should be front and center with regards to all Americans, as there's no rational basis to prohibit physicians from owning surgical hospitals. What's the concern over this? Physician-owned hospitals deliver excellent care at affordable prices, and that's a very good thing. #SurgicalBundles #TransparentPricing #NoMorePPOs #NoMoreBilledChargesAndDiscounts #SurgicalHospitals #PhysicianOwnedHospital Physician Hospitals of America

As we prepare for our June 27th DMSG meeting at Project CURE’s International Headquarters in the Denver Tech Center, we will be looking at one of the major concerns our DMSG Community expressed in our recent survey “What Keeps You Up at Night About Healthcare?”-----Healthcare Costs!! Reducing high healthcare costs has proved elusive for years. Is it possible an old adage might be applicable? "The town drunkard was looking for his lost keys not in the park where he lost them, but under the lamppost because that is where the light was." Do we really understand why US healthcare spending is so high? If not, we could be looking for answers in the wrong place. At this session with Bob Smoldt, Assoc. Director, Healthcare Delivery and Policy Program, ASU, you can reach your own conclusions about why healthcare spending is high and the best strategy to address it. Join us on Thursday, June 27th to learn more about healthcare spending. Here’s the link to register for our meeting: https://lnkd.in/gRF2M-yu I look forward to you joining me as we delve into this concerning subject with our keynote speaker, Bob Smoldt! You won’t want to miss this opportunity. Best-Selling Author l Senior Advisor to Fortune 500's l Leadership in the Age of Personalization I Leadership Strategy Contributor to Forbes
At the 2024 Healthcare in the Age of Personalization Summit, Dr. Raelene Brooks, dean of the College of Nursing at University of Phoenix, shared powerful insights on why healthcare needs to go beyond treating the disease and focus on the individual—both patients and employees. 🔑 Key Takeaways: - Personalization: It’s not just about policies and procedures. True care comes when we see and honor the full humanity of patients and employees. - Family Dynamics: Understanding personal histories, values, and family dynamics is essential to providing effective, compassionate care. - Holistic Healing: The environment for patients and their families matters just as much as the treatment itself. Creating spaces that foster healing is a mission of compassion and care. Healthcare leaders: It’s time to empower your teams with the tools to see people as individuals. When we honor the person behind the patient, we create a more inclusive and effective approach to healthcare. 🌐 Read more on how to inject personalization into your healthcare leadership: https://lnkd.in/dPZWGmcJ #HealthcareLeadership #Personalization #CompassionateCare #PatientExperience #HolisticHealing #InclusiveHealthcare #LeadershipTransformation

Calling all patient safety experts, enthusiasts, engaged patients, and family members! There's an opportunity for you to submit a public comment on/before December 22nd on proposed CMS measures under consideration (MUC), specifically the Patient Safety Structural Measure (PSSM). Sorry for all the acronyms! The measures proposed are significant and have the opportunity to encourage hospitals to implement patient safety solutions that have been show to reduce preventable harm and deaths, improve equity and patient/family engagement, and advance accountability, transparency, trust, and more... I'm a Patients for Patient Safety US Champion and I've already submitted my public comment. If you're interested in getting access to a template that you can customize, comment below or DM me and I can send it to you. Making a comment only takes a few minutes and every letter submitted is read and counted! This is an EASY way to help.
On December 6th, PFPS US hosted a webinar to provide more information about the PSSM and encourage supporters to file Public Comments in support of it. Slides and a recording of that webinar are available here: www.pfps.us/activities. Urgent Request: We urge PFPS US Patient Safety Champions, our Organizational Partners and others who follow our work to make a Public Comment in support of the PSSM. Anyone can make a Public Comment. CMS is obligated to read or listen to every Public Comment and the number received is a factor CMS weighs in assessing support. So volume matters. Your Public Comment truly counts, and it doesn’t take longer than 15 minutes to do! Two ways to make Public Comments: You can do either or both of these! 1. Make verbal comments during a live Listening Session on December 15th, starting at 11 AM ET. Instructions: - If you wish to make a verbal comment, register here for the Listening Session. Please do this as soon as possible, as they are making the Listening Session Schedule NOW! -When you register, request an opportunity to speak about the Patient Safety Structural Measure, number: MUC2023-188. -Then check your email for a registration confirmation and a follow up from the Listening Session facilitators. -More information here: https://lnkd.in/gV_8m9ap 2. Submit a written comment here by the end of day on December 22nd. Links in the comments
