As I prepare to relaunch KINNECT (follow us on IG for the announcement!), I’d love to invite my communities, near and far, to celebrate with me by donating virtually or attending physically for a night that doubles as a fundraiser. Bring your friends, parents, and favorite cousin - an old high school friend -- for community, performances, and food. Best part? It’s also a fundraiser! All proceeds go to Imerman Angels, a non-profit I had *no idea* my buddy was using before he passed — until I told his wife (who’s flying in for the event! <3)—a moment of divine wonder. I don't fit the typical 'tech' mold, which is partly why I took so long to jump into founding. This fundraiser is my way of showing everyone — from our current and future members to investors and community — that as KINNECT grows, so does our commitment to giving back in a way that feels real to me: in spaces that welcome everyone. And to my first-degree connections in Chicago — I realize approving my intern's campaign idea that called us 'old' might have been a little… well, you know, a gut-punch… haha! She’s not wrong tho 😭 .
