Childhood cancer sucks. It can be really hard to know how to help. Our founder Mitch made it easy when he made the pinky promise years ago: help families with everyday expenses so they can focus on what matters most - their child. There are so many ways you can help outside of a donation. Here are four more: 5. Employee Giving. Check your company for a match to help twice as many families! 6. Grants. Some companies offer grants to non-profits. Consider nominating Pinky Swear. 7. United Way. Designate Pinky Swear as your charity of choice! 8. Donor Advised Funds. Support kids with cancer through yours today! No matter how you give or how much you give, you are helping kids with cancer and their families. Have a read of this fantastic blog our Product Manager James Alden has written for our parent company Caution Your Blast Ltd. He explains how adopting lean methods helps in our mission to become easy-to-use, flexible and affordable. #GiveALittle #LeanMethods #Missionled #Digitalfundraising #Contactlessdonations
Do you know about CYB's point of donation software platform Give A Little? It helps charities make the transition to cashless fundraising and is used by the likes of Cancer Research UK (CRUK), Oxfam and The Church of England. Give A Little's Product Manager James Alden has written about how it all works, and how adopting lean methods lead to a 50% increase in donation value on the platform last year. ⭐⭐ Marathon Hike to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support ⭐⭐ 💰 Donate 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eWJpTbjp Following the success and generosity of everyones help raising £1755 for MacMillan Cancer Support last year on a marathon trek across the Cornish coastline, I'll be Donating a Day this year on 31st August to complete another! ...and clearly someone at MacMillan got the hint as they have a properly sponsored and organised "Mighty Hike" this time, vs last year with just me, a mate, a backpack and high winds. 💕 About MacMillan Your help is hugely appreciated and any donation, no matter how small, makes a real difference to someone living with cancer. With 1 in 2 of us getting the big C at some point in our lifetime, one way or another it touches all of us. As someone who's lived through that myself (as you may know from my fund raiser last year) - if you know someone living with the C right now, there are many ways you can help from a cup of coffee, to a listening ear, to help with small things around the house. With treatment being so tiring, even a home cooked meal can make a real difference to someone's day - trust me. 🚶♂️ The Walk Last year I picked a route close to my home down in Looe through to Charlestown near St Austell. This year, Macmillan have a "properly" organized trek route including stewards, medical staff, drinks and snacks at pit stops. Could have done with that last year at about mile 15! The route starts in Padstow and runs along the coast, through Mawgan Porth and finishing in Newquay. More about the event - https://lnkd.in/eQ5xxRfU ⌛ Last Year 9 hours, 33 minutes, 42 seconds - 27 miles, enough elevation to do Ben Nevis, storm force 50mph winds and wet and muddy. Zero training and almost busted my hip in the process. ⌛ This year Who knows? - 24 miles, about half the elevation, and hopefully dry... I type that while looking out the window at torrential rain. I'm on a calorie counting diet at the moment, but similarly poor general fitness. Anyway - I really appreciate your support, and please do think of those in your life affected by the Big C. Tom

🔔 *14 Years Strong: Help Team March of the Pigs Reach Our $1 Million Milestone!* 🔔 For the 14th year, my dedicated team, March of the Pigs, is participating in *Hogs for the Cause*, a nonprofit that supports families battling pediatric brain cancer. This year, we’re aiming to raise $250,000 – an ambitious goal that will push us over the $1 million mark in total funds raised over the years! We’re calling on sponsors and donors to help us make a real difference. Every donation goes directly to offsetting costs that insurance doesn’t cover for these families, and all contributions are tax-deductible. If you’re looking to give back, sponsor, or get involved, we’d love to connect with you! Let’s make 2024 a record-breaking year for families in need. 💙 #HogsForTheCause #PediatricBrainCancer #MarchOfThePigs #Fundraising #CorporateSocialResponsibility #Sponsorship #TaxDeductibleDonations #NonProfit #MakeAnImpact
