Many of us fly for work and air safety we take for granted. Yesterday the FAA completed their investigation into Boeing and their findings were concerning. According to the FAA, Boeing "did not provide objective evidence of a foundational commitment to safety that matched Boeing's descriptions of that objective." This is a pretty grave statement, isn't it? The aviation industry needs to prioritize safety above all else. #safety #airsafety #aviation #quality #qhse , the report can be read here: https://lnkd.in/d54XGCPj

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has issued a revision of Air Safety Circular 03/2010 (“ASC”) dated 8th October 2024 which deals with standard procedures in relation to manning of cockpit during non-critical phases. The revised ASC stipulates that, among other things, if a cockpit crew member wishes to exit the cockpit during non-critical flight phases, the remaining crew members may only leave the cockpit after making sure that a proper handover has taken place and that the returning crew has acknowledged the situational awareness of the ongoing operations. 🛫 FAA Intensifies Scrutiny on Boeing: Urges Inspection of 737-900ER Jets In the wake of a mid-air panel blowout on an Alaska Airlines MAX 9 jet, the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has heightened its focus on Boeing. The incident, which occurred on January 5, led to a significant hole in the aircraft. As a response, the FAA has recommended that airlines operating Boeing 737-900ER jets conduct inspections on door plugs to ensure proper securing. Some operators have reported unspecified issues with bolts during inspections. In an effort to address concerns, Boeing has appointed an independent advisor to examine quality control within its manufacturing processes. Meanwhile, 171 Boeing 737 MAX 9 planes have been grounded following the incident on January 5.
