“Clean technologies and renewable energies were more expensive than polluting technologies and energies. But since a couple of years, it is not the case anymore. Green and renewable energies are the cornerstone of the energy transition. They are actually the cheapest power option in most parts of the globe today. The prices of renewable energy technologies are dropping rapidly. In fact, investing in renewables creates job opportunities more than in the conventional industry, and every dirham spent on investment in this domain will make powering the future safer, life healthier, and energy sources much secure. Renewable energy makes socioeconomic sense. Being aware of the potentials green and renewable energies can bring, UM6P and OCP Group have joined the main partners of the ‘Climate Impulse’ project. It is a project meant to culminate in a non-stop, emission-free round-the-world flight in 2028 aboard a green hydrogen aircraft. Europe’s target to become climate neutral by 2050 can only be achieved if all main forms of energy are being transformed – electricity, heating, and fuels. The purpose of Power-to-X is to utilise electricity generated from renewable sources to produce hydrogen or alternative fuels, such as sustainable aviation fuel, green ammonia, e-methanol or the like. In this context, Norway has some of the most attractive locations for producing renewable energy in Europe – if not globally. Australia's 2024-2025 budget, totaling $22.7 billion, emphasizes net-zero technology commercialization. With $3.2 billion allocated to the Australian Renewable Energy Agency, focus lies on sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and renewable hydrogen. As Australia transitions to #netzero, the 2024-25 Australia federal budget handed down on 14 May 2024 contains significant initiatives relating to renewable energy, hydrogen, critical minerals, green metals, low carbon liquid fuels and clean energy technology, with the AUD 22.7 billion "Future Made in Australia" package as a centrepiece. Through new or additional incentives and other funding, the Australian Government aims to attract investment in key industries for the energy transition and make Australia "a renewable energy superpower" as well as add value to the resources sector, particularly critical minerals, and strengthen economic resilience and security.

Great news for Australia’s #hydrogen industry on Tuesday night. The Australian Federal Budget recognised Australia’s strengths to leverage its natural resources of sun, wind and land to produce green hydrogen.   The Hydrogen Production Tax Incentive and additional Hydrogen Headstart funding sends the right message to companies like bp which are advanced in the planning stages for these projects….
