To all the tech companies I'm connected to on here ⏩ A plea to make your booths cooler 😂 In the conversation under Miguel's post, I asked 🏒 Jay Menashe, CTSM Gold his thoughts on building great, engaging booths. Further into the conversation he says "It all starts with knowing their audiences and having clear objectives/KPI's for the conference. Once that is understood, the experience starts to build itself." So that's my plea to you. Please read some of the comments and take it to heart as you look toward exhibiting in 2024. Please ask yourself the hard questions. Think thoughtfully about WHO you send to exhibit for your company, make sure they're prepared for the experience and their purpose there by ensuring they're well-prepared for the experience. And please think thoughtfully about the design, usage & takeaways of your booth. Think through the attendee experience, just as we all do for our all of our attendees. Some basic ideas (from a reg perspective) my little brain thought up were ACTUALLY helpful back end videos of your software displayed on large screens (reg and app etc) so I can just take in the information without having to talk to anyone if I don't want to; and open laptops where I could just jump in and play around with site building or self-serve demo stands (hint: I don't actually care about the front end website - I'm trying to get at usability and robust functionality). I'll be at ETL in Vegas. I'm looking forward to seeing how everyone steps up to the plate in the next 6 months and who really shows they've done the work on-site in May!
