Remember that historically, we have not taken the time to train our leaders on our compensation practices or how to have good pay conversations. Here are some of the questions I am fielding most often in our CompAware Manager sessions: 1. What is the best way to start the conversation? 2. Can I share the pay ranges? 3. If I share the range, how soon can my employee reach the midpoint - What should I say? 4. How do we price our jobs here? 5. How can we be sure our salaries are competitive? I find that most often, managers want to have great conversations but are still not sure what they can say, should say, should ask, and should share. * We just have to provide a safe place to help them learn!* 💡 Oh and sorry...this is not an AI-generated solution! Adults have to practice these scenarios in real time! 💡 Do you have a common pay-related question you need help with? Feel free to share it in the comments! Chances are, it has come up in one of my learning sessions!
