What if I told you for every day you spend on Earth, you dedicate one-third of it lying horizontally, with your eyes closed and your mouth drooling? At first glance, it might not seem momentous, but let’s take a step back and view this fact from a wider perspective. One-third of a day is equivalent to 8 hours, one-third of a year translates to about 4 months, and one-third of a decade sums up to approximately 3 years and 4 months. This means that, if you’re 24 years old like me, you’ve spent 8 years motionless and unaware of the world around you. Eight whole years dedicated to doing nothing.
